Posted on 08/06/2010 02:14 am I think i would go to Europe. The countries are close together so you would be able to see more and experience more. |

Posted on 08/09/2010 03:16 pm Europe... it's older. Of course, I'd go to the cradle of civilization if I could. |

Posted on 08/10/2010 06:05 am I'm biased but Europe has a far greater range of culture. I love the fact I live there and can go from one country to the next. The language barrier is nowhere near as bad as most people imagine as all of these countries have a good grasp on English. Every single country is different... Austria and Germany for example I went to recently and even though a lot of the traditions and language come from the same origins the countries couldn't be more different. These places are simply beautiful. I've been to Spain, France, Luxemberg, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria and Italy... and even though I live there and see it every day England has a few little treasures too. There's not many places in the world where you have such changes in culture in such short distances. It's a real eye opener! |

Posted on 08/10/2010 08:13 am Great Reply Nicholas,I think I will be leaning towards Europe. That way I can try to cross off Italy, Spain, England on my bucket list with one trip. Oh yeah, and hopefully play golf at St. Andrews!! |

Posted on 08/10/2010 09:21 am It's definitely worth visiting Scotland while you're here. Also, while London is very nice, there's a lot more to see in England. Bath, Bristol, York, Durham, Liverpool, Manchester are all great cities... also if you like to see green things the Peak District (in the middle of England) and the Lake District (at the top of England) are must see areas. I'm not a golfer unfortunately so I can't help you out there. If you want more details when you're arranging it all I'll be more than happy to help you out. |

Posted on 08/10/2010 12:06 pm Australia while you're young, but if you go to Europe soon they're giving night tours of the Colosseum for a limited time! |

Posted on 09/13/2010 11:14 am I'd vote for Europe first (but keep Australia on the list!). I took my (then) eight-year-old daughter to Salzburg and Vienna for Mozart's 250th birthday a few years back, and it was a blast. I know she'll never forget that trip. We saw The Barber of Seville at the Stadts Oper in Vienna and visited more hidden gems than I can count while traversing the cities. |
